When We Pray is a faith-based feature film about two brothers, who are also pastors, that experience hardships in their personal lives and by the grace of God, is forced to come together and heal from past wounds.
Since they were very young, both brothers were brought up in the church and grew up in a household where religion was priority number one. Having that background gave the brothers to the desire to lead their own congregations but instead of working as a team under one roof, they compete at every turn and have two different churches.
Older brother Pastor Elijah, has kept with the family tradition and still preaches every week at the family-owned church which is torn down and doesn’t have a lot of members. His younger brother, Pastor Isaiah on the other hand runs a mega church. Always the one who was attracted to flashy things, his church looks like a luxury mall stocked with the latest technology.
The brothers are not at all in each other’s lives and are happy that way but when their lives are turned upside down, they realize that all they have and can really trust is each other. This is a beautiful story of how letting God in, forgiveness, and dealing with the pain of the past, leads you to the path of healing. Which of course only happens when we pray.
